Ingredients: coriander, Kashmiri chili, black gram, Bengal gram, chana dal, fenugreek, mustard seed, asafoetida, turmeric, and salt. For the Real Taste Sambar; 1) sambar dal 1/2 tea cup (or toor dal); 2)mixed cubed vegetables; 3) red chili - 3; 4)green chili- 3; 5) tamarind; 6)mustard seeds-1 tablespoon; 7)curry leaves 8)salt.
Preparation
First cook the dal until soft. Add the cubed vegetables,green chili and salt, cooking until they’re half done. Then add okra and tomato and continue cooking until everything is tender. Pour in tamarind water and bring the mixture to a boil. In a separate pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds until they crackle; then add a whole red chili, sliced small onions, and curry leaves, frying until the onions turn brown. Finally, turn off the heat, add 3 tablespoons of Real Taste Sambar Powder, mix well, and pour it into the sambar. Serve hot.
